Turkish Airlines, the airline with the most destinations in the world, was named the Best Airline in Europe 2022 her Skytrax at the prestigious World Airline Awards.
Held at the historic Langham Hotel, in London, on the 23rd of September, the World Airline Awards recognized and praised the company's services. In addition to being named the Best Airline in Europe by travelers from all over the world, Turkish Airlines won two other major awards at the ceremony, namely the Best Business Class Catering in the World and Best Airline in Southern Europe.
The airline rating, conducted through an online customer survey, took place between September 2021 and August 2022. The survey was available in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Customers from over 100 nationalities participated in the 2021/2022 survey, with 14,32 million eligible entries counted in the results.
Upon receiving the awards at the ceremony, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat said: “We are delighted to be with you again in this environment where our outstanding service has already been appreciated many times over. As Turkish Airlines, we would like to thank our valued passengers, who deemed us deserving of these wonderful awards, and the Skytrax team, who put this assessment into practice. The airline, which recently had four representatives appointed to the Advisory Boards of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), is the largest operator of flights,
