The Airline also announced new frequencies for the Brazil-Turkey route
Turkish Airlines, the airline with the most destinations in the world, ended the fourth quarter of 2021 with real operating income of US$619 million and net income of US$225 million, despite the effects of the crisis caused by Covid-19.
The airline's total revenue during the fourth quarter was US$3,3 billion, a figure that surpassed the same period in 2019. As for Turkish Cargo's revenue, which represents 39% of total revenue, there was a 172% increase compared to at the same period in 2019.
Regarding the EBITDAR margin (Earnings before interest, taxes, amortizations and rents), which shows the company's cash generation potential, the company presented an increase of 39% compared to 2019, with 1,242 billion dollars .
During the fourth quarter of 2021, Turkish Airlines transported 13,7 million passengers, which represents 84% of its 2019 capacity and had 69% occupancy on international flights. In addition, the airline maintained its leadership position during 2021 with the highest number of flights operated in Europe and became the fifth largest air cargo carrier, excluding integrators, in the world.
Turkish Airlines has strengthened its identity as an airline with its extensive network and frequency of flights, as well as superior hygiene standards. At the end of December, the airline presented one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the world, with 370 aircraft, 246 of them narrow-body and 104 wide-body, in addition to 20 cargo aircraft.
New Brazil-Turkey frequencies
With the reduction of restrictions for the entry of Brazilians in Turkey - all fully immunized people no longer need to present a negative test for Covid19 - Turkish Airlines announced the new frequencies for flights between São Paulo and Istanbul from April, check out the follow:
-On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the TK 16 flight leaves Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at 03:35 am and arrives at Istanbul International Airport (IST) at 22:20 pm.
-On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, flight TK 194 leaves Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at 22:25 pm and arrives at Istanbul International Airport (IST) at 17:15 pm the following day.
-On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, flight TK 193 leaves Istanbul International Airport (IST) at 13:20 pm and arrives at Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at 20:45 pm.
-On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, the TK 15 flight leaves Istanbul International Airport (IST) at 10:00 am and arrives at Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at 17:25 pm.
