The event, which inaugurates the first Collab Seychelles, presented the main updates on the destination and the new hotels in the Archipelago.
In order to promote and disseminate key updates on the Seychelles Islands, the Global Vision Access (GVA), the Archipelago's tourism office in Brazil, brought together, on Thursday (24), agents and tour operators in Porto Alegre, RS.
O Collab Seychelles took place in partnership with ABAV-RS (Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies) and operators from Rio Grande do Sul. Mercatur Premium e Orion. This was the first in a series of events to promote collaboration between the destination, the travel association and tour operators and agents.
“Welcoming GVA and a destination like Seychelles at a time of recovery, and bringing this union and training of agents in Rio Grande do Sul, is essential. Certainly, many fruits will come from this collaboration and will allow us to have even more quality of service and knowledge about the destination”, said Lúcia Bentz, president of ABAV-RS.
With 115 paradise islands, Seychelles is one of the most recognized tourist destinations in the Indian Ocean and expects to receive more than 250.000 tourists in 2022. Gisele Abrahão, CEO of Global Vision Access, made a presentation during the breakfast promoted to agents and operators about the country and the new accommodation options available on the islands.
“Seychelles is a destination for different profiles, with experiences, attractions and accommodation for each of them. Every year we see a great growth in the interest of the South market in the Archipelago and the partnership with ABAV-RS, Mercatur Premium and Orion is always very productive in the exchange of knowledge, experiences and opportunities”, highlighted Gisele Abrahão.
Among the hotels presented, we highlight the new developments in Mahé (the main island of the Archipelago): the STORY Seychelles -formerly the H Resort- the L'Escale Resort Marina & Spa, the Mango House Seychelles (from the Hilton group) and the Laila Resort.
About the destination, Leonardo Barbosa and Tati Finkelstein, directors of operations for the agency Orion and Mercatur Premium, respectively, agree that the main highlights of Seychelles are its nature, the country's efforts to ensure its sustainability, in addition to the rich local culture. “Seychelles has been consolidating itself in the market over the years, and I believe there is a huge potential for growth”, highlighted Leonardo Barbosa.
In addition to full training for travel agents, the event also featured a moment of brainstorming for the development of the best strategies and solutions to the challenges and also for the launch of an incentive campaign between Seychelles and Rio Grande do Sul, which will take place soon.
