With exotic beaches, private hotels and a heavenly atmosphere, it's no surprise that Seychelles was named the most romantic destination of 2021 by the World Travel Awards. The archipelago in the Indian Ocean, made up of 115 islands, is a haven for all couples who want tranquility and romance amidst lush nature.

The World Travel Award is an award that recognizes and celebrates excellence in all sectors of the global tourism and tourism industry. The award, which reaches its 28th edition, is one of the most recognized and comprehensive in the sector.

Seychelles also won recognition as the best honeymoon destination in the Indian Ocean. No wonder the country was the honeymoon choice for some of the most famous couples in the world, such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and actor George Clooney and lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

The archipelago stood out among the more than ten destinations competing in the category. “This award reinforces Seychelles' outstanding position in today's competitive market. It has enormous significance, and we are pleased to be recognized for going further and striving to make the country a destination that will be etched in the memory of visitors”, says the Secretary of Tourism, Sherin Francis.

The destination of crystal-clear beaches and turquoise seas announced, in November, the reopening of the country to Brazilian tourists, who must present a negative PCR test for Covid-19 carried out up to 72 hours before boarding and the travel authorization form for the country filled in (www.seychelles.govtas.com ).
