Continuing a successful year, with increasing demand and recovery for the airline industry, Turkish Airlines launches a new global advertising campaign featuring award-winning actor Morgan Freeman.

Centered around the concept of “Pangea” – that millions of years ago the planet was formed by a single and connected supercontinent – ​​the campaign stars the actor who narrates a captivating and inspiring message about the reunification and reconnection of people and their worlds. The commercial just premiered online and will air during Super Bowl LVI, the biggest event in American football, on February 13, 2022.

The campaign concept pays homage to the extensive connectivity of Turkish Airlines, the airline with the most destinations, and proposes a message of unity between the different territories.

The new “Pangea” campaign

To bring the story to life, Morgan Freeman is the narrator of the campaign. The actor, who was also featured in the 2017 Turkish Airlines campaign, lends his talent to the production, captivating viewers with his strong narrative presence and iconic voice.

Filmed in Istanbul and New York, the new campaign also features animations depicting the continents and the reconnection movement to illustrate pangea in an impactful way. This is the brand's sixth ad shown during the Super Bowl and will air in 136 countries, continuing a series of high-end commercials produced by Turkish Airlines.

In 2016, Turkish Airlines debuted the “Fly to Gotham and Metropolis City” ad that was part of the carrier’s “Batman v Superman” campaign; in 2017. With “Widen Your World”, Morgan Freeman invited viewers to explore his wide network route; and in 2018, the “Five Senses” campaign led by Dr. Oz, that the wonders of the world through the five senses. Ridley Scott directed the Super Bowl commercial 'The Journey', a cinematic and thrilling chase through stunning landscapes and the new Istanbul Airport. Finally, “Step on Earth” aired in 2020.
