From May 21 to 25, the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul hosted a team of journalists from the ABC News, the news division of the American television network ABC, morning show Good Morning Washington (@abc7gmw). They were there to film and produce a piece about the state, which will run for 5 to 10 minutes from Monday to Friday, June 10-14, talking about ecotourism in Mato Grosso do Sul.
Among the attractions visited were the Municipal Market and the Pantanal Biopark, at the state’s capital Campo Grande; Gruta do Lago Azul and Bacuri Restaurant at Bonito; Rio da Prata at Jardim; Boca da Onça at Bodoquena, and San Francisco farm at Pantanal.
As well as visiting the attractions, the focus was on interviewing the people in charge of the attractions and hotels on the subject of biodiversity, sustainability actions and the organization of tourism, in addition to the differentials of the gastronomy in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The TV crew wanted to showcase ecotourism and adventure tourism options, along with the diversity and infrastructure that are the very important and strong points to welcome North American tourists with quality and safety.
